The cold weather is here time to tuck away the curls the wrap up the fro. Cold weather means your hair is most prone to drying out and breaking off. Protect those ends.
About two weeks or so ago, I stumbled on Twitter and I seen Curlbox and OGX Beauty were having a twitter Q&A session for the #OctoberCurlBox. Included in the discussion were how-to advice on the products for those that didn’t know what to use specific products for different hair types and styles. I tweeted my favorite hair product was the Quenching Coconut Curls Curling Hair Butter Leave In or Rinse Out and BOOM , ya girl won the giveaway!
Happy 8 months to my lovely TWA! I’m at the stage where I can do flat twists, twist outs, rod sets , finally! I’ve been very impatient the second time around and I’m finally seeing growth.
Since I did my first big chop my holy grail hair products come from Shea Moisture. Their prices are reasonable, there is always a sale at Walgreens, CVS, or Rite Aide , and Target. It makes my hair soft and it truly defines my natural curl pattern. They have products for every hair texture.
I was so excited when I realized my hair was long enough for flat twists, now I can experiment with different protective styles.
Depending upon how tired I am, I will do my wash n go before bed, and refresh it with a water bottle in the morning, or I will do it in the morning and diffuse with a blow dryer when its cold outside.

What is your Wash n Go Routine? What are some of your favorite products?
It has been quite a while since I bought any beauty products. I actually had to do my own 30 day no buy challenge. It was a success! There were a few products on my radar that I wanted to try out and one of my “go-to” stores would be Ulta.
I am an advocate for online shopping, they have the most deals and shipping now days are within 3-5 business days. I have been busy working, working out, and visiting family in the hospital that I have no time to stop and shop. I wanted to share the latest products I purchased from makeup to facial cleansing and makeup tools.
If you missed my favorite YouTube beauty bloggers post, definitely take a visit to see my top 5. One of those ladies happens to be Makeup Shayla, she has shared some products she using in the morning and at night as her daily facial cleansing routine.
The retail price for this product at Ulta is $45 , I know that seem a bit expensive especially for us ladies on a budget. When you purchase this product you receive a free gift.I don’t typically have problem skin. My daily routine is washing my face with black soap from Shea Moisture or Dove. Makeup Shayla spoke highly of this product so I will have review soon. It includes an Essential cleanser, Advance Active Radiance Serum, daily moisturizer, and Pigment lighting serum.
We can never have enough makeup remover towlettes. You get two for the price of one. The retail price for these Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towlettes 12.99.
Shea Moisture Sachs Inchi Oil Omega 3,6,9 Rescue Repair Co-Wash & Curl Defining Smoothie. The Shea Moisture products are Buy One Get One 50% online. The retail price 12.99 for both. I’m always open to try new Shea Moisture Products. I use the Curl Style coconut and Hibiscus line faithfully. Co-Wash is good for those for wash their hair every time they take a shower or for use of 3 times a week. The curl defining smoothie is good to use for the LOC method daily.
I love glowing , smooth, clear skin. This retail price for this product is 30.00. When you purchase this online you can receive a free gift!
These beauty blenders come as a twin pack. The retail price is 10.99. Its been a while since I purchased beauty blenders, for some reason I tend to switch between brushes and blenders. Beauty blenders tend to be on the expensive side as well, but I like two for the price of one.
Saved the best for last! I told you all I have desperately needed to buy a new eye shadow palette especially for the Fall/Winter Season. The Master Palette by Mario is a collaboration with Anastasia Beverly Hills. It has been sold out on the AB website , but Ulta came through! The retail price is 45.00. This is definitely the first high-end eye shadow that I have purchased , meaning the most expensive. The only eye shadow I have purchases were E.L.f Cosmetics and Sonia Kushnik both less than $30.00. I will use this palette for my next makeup tutorial. This palette includes 10 shimmering shades perfect for the colder season, you can create multiple day and night makeup looks. I’m more of a matte eyeshadow gal, but I will give this a try and it even comes with a brush!
Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products or what are your most recent beauty pick ups.
Beyoncé released Ivy Park Active Wear Collection this past March, just in time for Fall Season she launches more active wear for the 2016 collection. For us ladies who work out and like to have the cutest work out clothes this would be a line to check out.
My goal with Ivy Park is to push the boundaries of athletic wear and to support and inspire women who understand that beauty is more than your physical appearance. True beauty is in the health of our minds, hearts, and bodies.
