We all love money, but we all know that’s not the root of all happiness in life. Having a career that you love that doesn’t feel like you’re working is key to happiness but not everyone is fortunate.
Not everyone can be an entrepreneur and have their own business and be their own boss, but that’s also not everyone’s goal. Yes, we all feel as though being financially stable would be one less burden. How can we manage to get to that point in life?
Were you one of those individuals who had life all planned out when you were in your early twenties, hell maybe you had it all planned out when you were in high school and then LIFE happened. We can agree to disagree that nothing ever goes as planned. But you keep it pushing and don’t give up.
What’s your goal? What do you aspire to be? Just sit and think and ask yourself those two questions. What is the one thing you would love to do for the rest of your life that sometimes you wouldn’t mind doing it for free? Whatever it maybe, that’s what you should be doing or working towards accomplishing.
Build a life so good you don’t need a vacation from it
Yes we all need to be adults and we have responsibilities (kids, bills, family) but what good is it all if you’re just working to pay bills and you’re not living. We all have our own struggles it comes in many forms but that’s how you become a strong individual.
I could never understand how a person can stay with one company for 30+ years of their lives and some even stay in that one position. Not wanting to advance they just become complacent and that’s not acceptable over here. We’ve all heard the saying “don’t quit your day job”, and I can’t say I don’t agree but life is about taking risks, you never know until you try.
You have people who work 1-2 jobs while going to school to pursue a degree and then not even able to find a job in that field. You also have others who work that 9-5 and pursue their jobs as a side hustle. There are many ways to achieve your goals , you’ll have sleepless nights, empty bank accounts, lose friends even family members but don’t give up. Your journey is for you others don’t need to understand it and don’t try to explain it.
Now if you’re in a career field for the money or the dream job you want is simply for the money you’re already on the wrong track. Yes money is great we love money but money does NOT buy happiness, it can be a down payment, though. There are tons of high paying career fields but at the same time think to yourself again “is this really what I want to do for the rest of my life?” Money makes the world go ’round, money can tear up a happy home, a happy relationship, and even a loving friendship if you let it.
Have a passion for something , work towards that , grind for that, go hard for that, don’t expect any handouts and the money will come later. If you’re working a 9-5 and it’s not your dream job, don’t get comfortable, hell I got promoted 3 times in one year at my current place of employment. I personally get bored easily and I enjoy learning new things when I get comfortable I start to dislike everything about it.
