April is my favorite month of the year. It’s my birthday month, of course! I know you are wondering where I been and why it’s been weeks since a new post has been published. I have been booked and busy.
If you read previous posts, especially between the months of September and December I was stressing over this new journey of being a Lash artist and no longer working in corporate world. It was very slow for me and it was taking time building a clientele and I was beginning to second guess if this was the right decision.
In December I started working two days a week at a spa doing facial and Waxing Services so that I can be well-rounded and market myself in the Pittsburgh area as an Esthetician.
Since February my book has picked up clients and I have been busy ever since. Days where I will have an empty book and it will fill up within 24 hours. You all have to let me know if you want a blog post about my favorite lash products and how I do lashes etc.
I have prayed for months to be booked and busy and God has made it happen for me. I don’t complain at all and I really see God feels I am ready and meant for this journey. You just have to trust the process.
I was working 7 days a week since January and it didn’t make sense. You have to work smarter not harder. It’s good to have multiple streams of income but you have to take care of your health. For two weeks straight I experienced migraines, and I kept saying I needed time off until I was forced to do so because my body shut down. Even with 5-6 hours of sleep, I wasn’t eating right.
I don’t like the company I work for but I love doing lashes, I love the before and after transformation, I love-making women feel good about themselves. I have learned many lessons with this company and things I will take away when I get my own space. When I left my corporate job I stated I would never work for anyone else, God willing this will be my last employer this year.
My friends and family have been so supportive of me, my clients refer people to me without me even asking. I post my available appointment times and people book accordingly. With that being said don’t be scared to promote yourself and don’t feel like you’re flooding timelines, so what if you are. No one will go hard for your brand like you will.
My birthday is this month and this month just always puts me in a good mood, a motivating, positive mood!
Thank you all for continuously reading this blog!
