Makeup Monday: Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation + Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette

Huda Beauty  released a new Faux Filter Foundation along with the Complexion Perfection Pre Makeup Base Primer, available at Sephora. Tarte Cosmetics has released a new Fall appropriate eyeshadow palette Tartelette Toasted, which I had the pleasure of testing out over the weekend at Ulta Beauty. I have dropped a new Youtube tutorial using these products and I wanted to share the makeup review.

I know it may seem as though I am purchasing a lot of makeup these days, but hey one day these companies will send me the products to review (wishful thinking). First things first the Faux Filter Foundation comes in a pump applicator form bottle, it’s not glass, its plastic. If you reside in Western Pennsylvania the product is not available in stores you can only purchase online. So I had to color match at Sephora and they ordered the product online for me right to my doorstep, for free shipping.

The foundation does oxidize so I was a bit frantic when I seen how light it was thinking it was not my shade. I have the shade Mauchiatto 400G. The finishing look is flawless and smooth. The Complexion Perfection primer smells good, and it feels like lotion and that also comes with a pump applicator.

I was invited to Ulta to try out the new products they have recently released by Tarte. Over the weekend I attended and was able to get a full face application. For the first time I tried out the Stick Foundation which I liked how she applied the product to the brush first instead of directly to my face. For my eyes she used the new Tartelette Toasted eyeshadow palette and we went for an orange-brown smokey look. She used the Clay Play Face palette for my contour and even my eyebrows which that palette is my holy-grail and I never used it for my brows. It gave a natural eyebrow look which complimented my freshly waxed brows. The finished look from Ulta below.

For blush she used ‘Feisty’ which I only have the ‘Paaarty’ shade though I got for free for my birthday this past Spring and for highlight we used ‘Exposed’.

Of course I had to purchase the Blush, Pressed Powder, and the Toasted palette, I received a free gift which include a small makeup bag, Lights Camera Lashes Mascara, and the Ready Set Radiant Setting Spray.

Here is the finished look I did on my YouTube tutorial.

Also I purchased a new Canon Rebel T5i , let me know if you would like a review on that.

Please check out my full tutorial / review below.
