It’s almost Winter, colder climates means we have to protect our strands. Protective styling is one way to retain moisture and length. Over the weekend I had enough energy to do two strand twists while watching Netflix.
I’ve been wearing the Indian Curly unit as you know wigs are very convenient and a great protective style. I co-wash my hair weekly and rebrand cornrows.
With the two strand twist I used the L.O.C. Method. A great way to lock in moisture. Leave-In I used OGX Beauty Coconut Curls Leave-In / Rinse-Out Hair Butter which is currently on sale for 5.99 at CVS. Pictured above, I used Mielle Organics Mint Almond Oil and Moisturizing Avacado Hair Milk. I apply the products in that order.
I sectioned my hair into four sections after detangling with the denman brush. I think parted my hair using my fingers and proceeded to twist my hair. As you can see from my ends my hair is healthy and has no split ends due to my 4-6 week trims. It took about 45 minutes to an hour to finish.
This is the final look..
You can wear the style as is, or take down the twist and wear it curly. This style can last up to 10 days I wouldn’t keep it in any longer or it can lock. During the week I will moisturize my hair with the almond oil and I wear a dating scarf to sleep.
