Wash Day Hair Routine

After a week and a half I was bored with the corn rows and I was eager to wash my hair. Hair styles don’t last too long for me, a good hair style can last two to four weeks depending on what style it is.

My Hair After Taking Out The Cornrows

I wanted to share with you my wash day routine and this would be a quick wash day as it was late at night and I had a long day. I took out the cornrows and I washed my hair with Proganix Quench Shampoo and Conditioner–I wash my hair with shampoo once a month.

After I wash I dry my hair with a cotton T-shirt , since I became natural and from watching YouTube videos I’ve learned a T-shirt helps keep the hair moist and it doesn’t tear your hair. I use the LOC method, your choice of leave in conditioner , any type of oil, and a cream based product. For my leave-in I use Organix Leave-In or Rinse Out Hair Butter . For the oil I use Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Reconstructive Finishing Elixir, followed by Organix Curl

Since my hair is still fairly short I don’t use any hair utensils like a comb or brush I simply tease my hair with my fingers and make sure I get the products all through my scalp. At night I sleep with a silk scarf or I lay on a silk pillow case. In the morning I refresh my hair by spraying the Organix coconut oil.

Morning Results – shrinkage is real.
